hello from bangkok! got here last night after an excessively long time on a bus. couldnt find the hostel we had made reservations at so stayed at one nearby. its a bit of a dive but in a really good area pparently with lots of cheap bars and restaurants and stuff. our room is boiling and the fan is broke. rubbish! ohwell.

went to the palace today. absolutely amazing - if you get over the kind of tackiness of all the gold leaf - its really really beautiful! and completely wonderful. its kind of a shame that there is nothing like that in britain - andi mean nothing. york minster pales in comparison! off to get our visas for china tomo. supposed to do it today but i felt l;ike death. right. speak soon. sorry its been a while. x
