Well Sihanoukville was definatly eventful! We ended up staying 13 nights in the end! Every one of those nights we were out from midnight till 5am and sometimes later, we met Aussies, Americans, Irish, French and so so many english people. By day we were on the beach, talking to all the beach seller ( girls and woman selling bangles and massage etc...) and we even took 3 of them on a banana boat we would then go back to our room for a freshen up then out for a meal, normally in Monkey Republic a British owned hostel that did Westen and Asian food then we would head to JJ's a beach bar/club. Drinks came in the form of buckets which were about £1.40. During the second week and American Navy and Marines ship docked down the road, which ment 300+ American men. :D They all wanted to buy us drinks, take us to nice resturant, and of course we just couldnt say no! So we were wined and dined for a few days, we got friendly with so many people had a unforgetable time and could have stayed long, but we had left our mark and needed to give our livers a rest so we got the bus to Ho Chi Min city, Vietnam.
Crossing the boarder was no problem as we had already got our visa's back in the UK. We were the only westerners crosssing the boarder on our bus and got a lot of looks and smiles. We arrived in Ho Chi Min city in the evening, was ripped off by a taxi driver as we weren't sure of the exchange, not but too much but still enough to get annoyed! We found a hotel and went for a meal. Met to very arragant Americans and Aussie guys and were very thankful to see some of our friends that we met in Cambodia, that happened to be walking past. So we decided to go and see the England match with them in a Irish pub, was uite funny and there were Irish and loved it when we drew!
We got back to our hotel at 3.30am and was up again at 8.30am to go to the Cu Chi tunnels the tunnels that were used in the Vietnam war we walked aronud where all the tunnels were, we were both too scared of small spaces! It was really interesting to see the tunnels and what happen to vietnamese in the war. We can back to the city and had a walk around the we started to talk to a guy that was staying at our hostel we ended up going to dinner with him, then we met up with some of the guys we met in Suckyville and had some drinks with them.
Day we left HCMC and got a bus to Da Lat we started talking to some girls on the coach and when we arrived in Da Lat and got a motorbike ride to a hotel and decided to stay in the same hotel. We went to dinner then we came back to the hotel and ment some Aussie guys rich and mj, Richs digital watch was amazing entainment for this evening as all the bar started to play a game where we had to say A-z as qucik as possible! it was 25 dollars, well worth it! They are now sitting in our room drunk and making me write about them in my blog!!
So Vietnam is starting to be as crazy as Cambodia was!!!
