Up at 6.30am picked up at 7.20am off to have a helicopter ride to Grand Canyon. Didn’t sleep well last night so pretty tired.
We flew off at about 9am pilot really wasn’t very attentive to us he talked more to the Swedish family who were with us. mins. He wasn’t very informative. We saw Hoover dam and then flew down into the canyon stopped for champagne & orange juice and a snack and photo opportunity. It was a great experience to see.
We returned back to hotel stopped for egg rolls and shared a pizza then retired to our room for snooze.
Left room at 4pm to go to Caesar’s Palace to find Gordon Ramsay’s Pub and Grill. Not easy to find this hotel not very well sign posted. Shame we found it really food was awful. I had French onion soup was average. Martin had Caesar salad was swimming in dressing. The waitress offered to get him another one or a soup but he declined he did have a massive glass of cider to keep him going. For “Entree (what they call main course in America) I had fish and chips the fish was nice but batter oily and chips soggy. Martin had bangers and mash with onion gravy the gravy was over powering the mash ok and one sausage out of three not bad the other two passable but the gravy kind of ruined it. For dessert we had sticky toffee pudding it was probably the best course for me. Still not great though. We will know maybe not to go with show and dinner packages again.
Off to see Rod and it was very worth it he was awesome. You can see he is ageing as takes breaks but he still is a great performer. He came around the centre of the stadium and we were two rows in it was incredible to see him so close.
After the show we walked backed stopped off at Rhumbar for a quick cocktail and beer. Then bought coffee to take back to room.
Next leg on our journey tomorrow Off to LA.
