Left Hotel at 7.30am arrived Las Vegas at 12.30pm.

Staying at The Mirage lovely hotel nice room not bad look onto part of the strip at night. Bed seems comfy. We settled in then took a taxi to Excalibur Hotel too far to walk in heat. Got tickets for show “Tournament of Kings” we had a a little wait so stopped in at a bar “Dick’s last resort” for a drink this was a funny place people went for ribs etc and they wore funny sayings on big paper hats insulting themselves basically. I had a cocktail Martin had a couple of beers.

Then the show. It was great. While the show was on you ate a rustic dinner with your hands. Tomato soup you slurped from the bowl then your own little chicken with veg then a pastry. I had a Daiquiri from a souvenir cup. We were in the Spanish corner. Unfortunately he did not win tonight. In fact I thought he was pretty pathetic. There was jousting, sword fights, javelin throwing, racing etc. it was all in all a very entertaining show.

We caught a cab back to our hotel as we were exhausted.
