Day 51 - Hoi An
We got up and went to explore Hoi An and have some lunch. The old town of Hoi An is beautiful. It's a small colonial town on the river. We sat at the riverfront and had some lunch. We then went wandering around and stumbled across the 'Japanese covered bridge'. There is some big history story behind this bridge, we are unsure of what it is, but it was nice all the same. Michael also got his hair cut in an old school barbers. He shaved his head and got an open blade out to go around the edges, spent about 20 minutes getting it all perfect. He even got a neck ad shoulder massage afterwards! You dont get that kind of treatment in glasgow for £3! The streets of Hoi An are lined with clothes shops and tailors where you can get really cheap hand made clothes. We decided to treat ourselves. I bought a maxi dress and a hand woven pashmina for when I come home to the Scottish weather! And Michael bought a tshirt and cap. It was very hot, and our hotel has a swimming pool, so we headed back and jumped in. We sat at the poolside for a while sunbathing and reading before getting ready and going out for dinner. We went to an Indian restaurant which was so good, we can't wait to go to India now for the food! We were leaving at 7am so had another early night.
