Jens' Travels
This morning, I walked through Princes Street Gardens and got a great view of Edinburgh Castle as it was a beautiful morning. I then made my way down to the harbour to see the Royal Yacht Britannia. The self-guided audio tour gives commentary on the various sections of the ship and gives details of the ships history up to its decommissioning in 1997. Overall, the tour was thorough and it was neat to look through the various rooms on the vessel.
I then took the bus back to the city centre and walked over to Holyrood park. This park is a large ridge jutting out right near the centre of the city. It's quite scenic and offers some great views of Edinburgh and the surrounding area. I ended up climbing all the way to the top to Arthur's Seat and took in a 360 degree view. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't ideal as the formerly sunny sky became overcast in the evening. Nonetheless, visibility was pretty decent and it was still worth it to take in the views.
