Today, we repeated the previous morning's trip to the Museo Nacional de Antropologia at the Bosque de Chapultepec, but it was of course open this time. The museum is quite large and had several interesting exhibits depicting indigenous societies throughout their history.
Later in the afternoon, we made our way over to the Castillo de Chapultepec, also in the Bosque de Chapultepec. Since it was close to closing time, we were able to get in for free. The castle was a neat sight and worth the walk up to it, even though I've seen plenty of castles in Europe. The castle had a very European feel to it and the exhibits contained details on Mexico's War of Independence. Unfortunately, we got caught in a downpour partway through our visit, but found enough shelter so as to not get too wet and the rain had let up by the time we left.
After leaving the castle, we made our way down to Totem Canadiense, also in Bosque de Chapultepec. The totem pole was a gift from Canada to Mexico to honour its sesquicentennial.
