China was one of the lucky countries that got to experience this year's solar eclipse. Too bad Shanghai had to be all stormy and cloudy and block out the sun.

We still tried to enjoy the experience. Some friends and I went to this restaurant/gallery called the Factory. It was a really trendy place. The owner gave use welder's glass because she didn't trust the glasses that they were selling around China. We really didn't need them though because of the stormy weather in Shanghai. Around 8:30am on Wednesday we started to see the sky get darker but at around 9:30am the sky started getting dark extrememly quickly and then there was complete darkness for about six minutes. It was so weird to see all the cars have to turn on their lights at 9:30 in the morning. Even though we didn't actually get to burn our eyes out by looking at the sun, it was still a pretty cool experience! We got to experience a SOLAR ECLIPSE! When will that ever happen again in this lifetime.
