Our next stop was the lakeside town of Pokhara. We spent a few days chilling out, eating nice food and planning our trek in to the Himalayas. Kathmandu is a crazy, heavily-polluted vibrant city and we loved it straight away. We were thrown in to the chaos of Shivaratri when we arrived - the biggest Hindu festival in the calendar - so it was even more chaotic than usual. When we could drag ourselves away from our beautiful hotel, we got lost amongst the side streets full of markets, motorbikes and mystical temples.
