Spent the day in Bern (Swiss capital) with Rach, Raf and some of their friends. We came for Zwibeli märt, an onion festival/market which is packed with food, market stalls, an odd wine called glüwein and tonnes and tonnes of confetti! As soon as we got out of the train station we could see the streets littered with confetti. Children and teenagers buy bags of it and throw it at fellow market goers. Plenty of sightseeing in Lucern the past few days. I have seen the Löwen Denkmal (lion monument), 2 incredible church's, Verkehrs Haus (museum of transport) and I'm sure some more I can't recall right now. The vast majority of food outlets here have a heavy focus on either chocolate, pastry, cheese or some mixture of the three. This pleases me :) and yet, when I am away I always loose weight.
