On the 16th we got the ferry early in the morning from Surat Thani to the island of Koh Pha Ngan. We were picked up in a pick up truck and driven forty minutes to our accomodation which was right on the beach in the north of the island. In the afternoon we went with the group for a walk to the street which has all the amenities (this is literally around 10 shops/restaurants). I went for a Thai massage for an hour which was absolutely brilliant and it only cost me the equivilent to £5. Then we sat and had a drink in a local restaurant where the leader of the group, Alex, knew the owners.
The follwoing day we lay on the beach in the sun and went into the sea for a swim. in the evening the group went for dinner back to the cafe where Alex knew the owner and the woman cooked us some local dishes to try. We all favoured the Massaman curry which was gorgeous and made with potatos, which is unusual in Thailand.
On the 18th we pretty much relaxed and sunbathed again. Had a pancake for breakfast which was fab cause i've not had one in ages! Met the group and had dinner in a restaurant on the beach in the evening.
Our last day on the island was a realxing day too, and we had a game of frisby in the water in teh afternoon, which I am totally rubbish at and everyone was laughing because I didn't want to get my face wet, lol. in the evening we went with the group to a restaurant owned by an English woman and had a BBQ style dinner.
