Today was one filled with emotions. It started out like any other day of walking, at 6am with headlamps on, and like the last couple of days we had some hills to contend with, there weren't huge but I think just knowing today was our last day, our mind were already done and dusted and our bodies really wanted to be as well. So today is the second last day of my journey to Santiago, and I kind of can't really believe that I have made it to this point. When I first decided to walk the Camino I honestly thought there was a good chance that I wouldn't complete it. I 100% hoped that I would but to be now on the final stage it almost feels surreal. Today was an easy walk, we decided to spoil ourselves and send our packs forward again so we could really just enjoy the last days walk before...

With only a few more days to go till we hit Santiago we decided to treat ourselves for our last uphill day and send our backpacks forward. It has been so easy to organise and for only 3€ you just can't pass it up. We were on the road this morning by 6.30am, walking in the dark with head torches has become a great way to get the first 10km smashed out, you can't see anything so your not distracted by all the beautiful views and just walk walk walk... Today is a very significant day in my Camino journey, because I will finally be passing the 100km marker. This is the official point which if walking you have to complete at least the last 100km to be eligible to collect the Compostela (certificate of completion of pilgrimage to Santiago) so far I have completed 627km which I am very proud of and with 4 more days of walking ahead of me I have no reason to believe I won't make it into Santiago on Thursday 06.10.16...
