Today is a very significant day in my Camino journey, because I will finally be passing the 100km marker. This is the official point which if walking you have to complete at least the last 100km to be eligible to collect the Compostela (certificate of completion of pilgrimage to Santiago) so far I have completed 627km which I am very proud of and with 4 more days of walking ahead of me I have no reason to believe I won't make it into Santiago on Thursday 06.10.16...

Today was a long day, so thankfully we decided to send our backpacks forward so we didn't have to carry them. We left our Albergue in Fonfria at 6.30am and felt as light as a feather with out carrying the extra weight of bags.... It started out quite cold and was foggy until the sun came up. After a night of excitement and drinking we woke at 6.30 with the idea of being on the road by 7am... Michele, Nancy and Toni were up and had made breakfast of toast and hard boiled eggs, so we got a coffee from the machine and sat and ate toast and eggs..... Tonight we had the most amazing night, I know normally I tell you all about the day, but today although it was good, it was certainly not the highlight.... It was hot and the walk was tough, especially the last 3 or 4 kilometres when the sun was beating down on us and we were walking along the road with no shade.... We got to our Albergue and collapsed on to our bed with exhaustion... But as per normal now recovery is good and once we had showered and somethings ...

Today, Sonia, phil & myself started out a little later than everyone else. We had coffee and a snack before we left the albergue and were on the road by 7.30am.
