we got up really early for our first day in cairns cause we wanted to change hostels.. we'd got stuck at a rubbish one cause we arrived too late to check in where we wanted to. but then found out we couldnt get our room til 12 anyway haha. so we went to sort out the next couple of days as i only had 3 days in cairns.. i booked to do two dives on the great barrier reef the next day and a skydive the day after (Soz mum! thought it was pretty expensive to fly up there just to do 2 dives and thats the best place to do skydives.. shes not too impressed with me!!)

that day we spent by the lagoon and having a look around. it is really touristy there but we werent expecting anything else so embraced it! that night i think we managed to visit all the main places to go out.. we got a free meal in rhinobar to begin with then moved onto heritage next door then to PJ O'Brians the irish pub and finally to the Woolshed.. was goooood.. met some cool people to replace barn and moore with haha.

unfortunately getting up the next morning at 7am was not so great. we checked into the ferry terminal (just about).. had to give grant a spoon in bed to get her to come! we both slept on the way out but i went for a snorkel for a warm up before it was dive time woo.

they put all this gear on me that i didnt have a clue what it was.. just that it weighed a tonne! ohhh and ive got to put in how nice all the people were on the boat... they were sooo lovely looking after me cause i was doing it bymyself (grant still asleep! she cant dive because problems equalising). and the girl who took me down was a complete legend. to begin with i couldnt equalise cause i didnt really get what it was and had to come back up to ask the guy haha but then i got it sussed and was off! was incredible diving ,, absolutely loved it.. the first one i did was basically getting to grips with the ropes of what to do and stuff and id messed up my goggles a bit by faffing around equalising,.. but on the 2nd one i was a pro! it was really colourful and we saw some wicked fish,, really wanted to see a reef shark that time but no such luck. we went right to the bottom and knelt down there tho, think it was only 7/8meters tho. cant describe how good it was tho - definitely want to do it again, loved diving so much, top 3!

when we got back we had a quick kip then went out for a few drinks but nothing major cause had to be up again really early the next day for the skydive! the bus picked me up at 7AM (Sick).. grant didnt come to this either cause shed already done one. there was no need to leave that earely tho cause we didnt even get the instructions til 2ish argh. my guy that i jumpoed with was called SInno and had me jump out first ahh. i wasnt thattt scared til he was asking me to help him open the door and stuff and didnt really know what i was doing! we were first to jump and we freefell for 60seconds (from 14,000feet) .. soooooooo good. it was over mission beach so u could see the reef and everything. then he let me do the parachute on the way down wooo and we landed on the beach.. pretty class (again, sorry mum! oops)

when i got back i reunited with grantus and we made a quick gettaway to rhino bar. this was my last night out of travelling!!! nooooooo. probably a bad idea on reflection cause my flight to brisbane was at 6am and im here now REALLY SHATTERED.. but was wicked. we had to get up on stage and act out famous landmarks at the start.. scuba ste had dragged us up.. but we ended up winning a trip to whitsundays.. bit useless for me but quality for grant! we then headed to heritage cause w eheard a rumour it was indie night wahey.. and it was, until the sound broke! so then went back to WOolshed and spent the night in there. got a text off barn too while was out - missing those guys!!! i think i got an hours sleep before the taxi at 4.45.. and grant saw me off into it rrrrrrr so sad. so then the journey back began!

at the moment im wasting 15hours in brisbane til my flight at midnight,. and its going pretty slow.. its only 11am uh ohhh. the plan is to meet andy peat in thailand tomorrow too .. cause have 24hrs in thailand.. so many flights! see ya soooonnnnn!!!!
