This morning mum and I went on to the marina to get on our boat to see The Great Barrier Reef. However we couldn't find our boat, the reason was we were upgraded to a better boat - result. So we got on out new boat which was the one I went on for my barrier reef trip. So we had got are snorkelling gear and wetsuits and headed up to the top deck to bag the good sun loungers. We then had tea an a bacon and egg roll and fruit for breakky. While we listened to the safety procedures and dive talks etc. We then had snorkelled and I took my new camera which is waterproof out to get some pictures and videos which was really scary as was the first time I have used it underwater. But I was really happy with the pictures and quality of them. Mum did her first ever scuba dive and what a place to do it. She even found Nemo ;) after that we had a buffet lunch with lots of salad, sausage, chicken and rolls which was so nice. Then we went off to Hastings reef which was amazing mum and I did a guided snorkel tour with a marine biologist to try see some turtles and reef sharks however we only managed to find the turtles. Which I followed for about 30mins taking pictures. I got a bit addicted but it was so beautiful. After 2 hours there we had wine and crackers and headed home where we grabbed the bus back to where we were staying had a nice dinner and wine in the garden listening to the rainbow lorikeets in the trees. Perfect day. Perfect last day of being 18!
