Today we set out on our beautiful 10person catamaran to the Whitsundays. Our first agenda was finding somewhere flat for our first night sleep as it was really wavy not helped with strong winds and constant showers. But in between showers we did see some sun. Mum and I got on a 10am bus today to go to Smithfield to go on the skyrail up to Kuranda. There was two stops along the way, the first being a 10minute board walk through the forest the second being the incredible Barron Falls, which is really only incredible to see in the wet season as the sheer amount of water takes away any site of the rocks. I'm 19 today!! So I started the morning with our hosts Lynn and Tony making me pancakes with banana, maple syrup, Ice cream and whipped cream with a candle on top. This morning mum and I went on to the marina to get on our boat to see The Great Barrier Reef. However we couldn't find our boat, the reason was we were upgraded to a better boat - result. So we got on out new boat which was the one I went on for my barrier reef trip. So we had got are snorkelling gear and wetsuits and headed up to the top deck to bag the good sun loungers. Today was a relaxation day, another sunny day to explore the local area so we went into cairns for a nice walk around and I popped in for a quick trim at the hairdressers. After a nice lay down in the sun by the lagoon we headed back to edge hill to do the Red arrow and botanic gardens walking trail.
