Today was my first day on the farm. Gemma the current backpacker on the farm showed me around the farm walking me down to the creeks where we saw a couple of kangaroos in the field. Once Ed, the farmer arrived back we were emptying the 50,000 litre water tank which took all day and the next morning. We then hosed down the tractor and two yutes or pick up trucks. In which me and Gemma had to try get a dead rat out of the tractor which was stuck inside a tiny hole. After that disgusting job I got to drive the yutes around the field to spray the blackberries across the creek. Felt like a proper jillaroo standing on the back of the yute on the way back to the farm with the wind flying past. Beautiful farm. Looking forward to the next 3 months.
