Today I met Sophie,the sister of the child's mum I was nannying for in England, in manly and she drove me up the coast on a tour of the northern beaches, she took me to Dee Why, Whale beach and Palm beach - where home and away is filmed ;) all the beaches were beautiful even the ones we drove past on the way only made better by the fact it was 27 degrees and sunny! After some nice walks on the beaches and some trekking over and under trees -literally! And of course the photos we headed back to her flat for some lunch before grabbing a bottle of wine and picnic rug to take to her fiancées cricket match which when we got there and immediately finding a space to park the car we were promptly told to move it away as a lot of cars had been hit by the ball. Fortunately she moved, unfortunately the car that decided to take the exact same space was not so lucky and had it's back window completely smashed in by the over-excited kiwi team who were batting 6's constantly, barely missing women and children, fortunately the cars took the brunt of it. After that exciting day I headed to the city to meet up with Siret and some of her friends we went to a bank turned pub and had some great food and drinks. Where Siret surprised me with christmas presents. I know have a photo album for the pictures from my travels, she even filled the first page for me - now there's a true friend. I also have some chocolate - life couldn't be better!
