Hello ladies and gents
So I get the morning bus from Lima to Huacachina, Ica.. It is my first bus in Peru and I am not too sure what to expect.. I get to the bus terminal and work out how to check in and then load up to the bus... front row seat! It is amazing.. The seats recline back so far and you have a footstool and get fed and free wifi.. Everything a transport vehicle should have!
Anyway the drive to Ica was amazing we wound down the coast and I saw surf beach after surf beach, cool town, run down little towns.. I got to see a lot and it was so different than anything else I have seen before.
I arrive into Ica, hop off the bus and get into a cab to take me to Huacachina.. This place is out of control amazing.. It is a desert oasis.. You leave the crazy city of Ica drive for 10 minutes into sand dunes and then arrive at this lagoon with palm trees, a road surrounding and surrounded by sand dunes.. It is beautiful. I check into the hostel and go explore for a few hours.. Although after 20 minutes I had seen everything so went and had some lunch.. I wandered around again to kill time until 4pm..
At 4 we went sand boarding and buggy riding in the dunes.. It was awesome fun.. The dunes were so steep and the buggy ride was out of control.. Like a psycho roller coaster... after about 5 dunes we went and found a spot to watch the sun set.. Was pretty cool and really pretty... there were some awesome people on the tour.. Some Dutch girls, a Canadian girl Kristy and an Irish couple..
After the dunes we had showers and got ready and went out for dinner with Kristy the Canadian and the two Dutch girls.. Kristy and I got on the pisco sours and after dinner went to find if there is any night life... nope there isn't we ended up in a disco all by ourselves dancing were pretty funny.. I put my iPod on as well.. Was a classic.. after some dancing and more pisco sours we called it a night... I walked back to the hostel to find it all locked up... whoops was there a curfew?? I rang the buzzer and the guy let me in I apologised and he laughed at me.. Whoops
In the morning I got up and got my things together and headed off to catch the BUS TO Nazca.. At the bus station I ran into two Aussie girls that were on the buggy tour so got chatting to them until the bus come... next stop Nazca
