I don't know how to say hello in Czech so I will just say hey from Prague..
So Sarah has never been here and last time I was here the weather was dreadful so was good to be back to explore a little more. We got in late afternoon and checked into our hostel that was prime location and then went for a bit of an explore... we wandered around the main square and Charles bridge and I showed Sarah the sights that I remembered from last time I was there.
We had some dinner and had a bit of an early night as we had a lot of sightseeing to do the next day.
We woke up early and set off we went to Charles Bridge and then the other side of Charles Bridge to the palace. The palace is up on a hill and provides some amazing views of Prague.. We walked around for hours and hours looking at everything of interest.
We went back to the hostel and watched Eurotrip whilst drinking some Pilsners.. We chatted to some other Aussies and decided to go on a pub crawl that night.. We had a few drinks got ready and headed to the main square where we ran into a sth African girl named Ashleigh.. She was working for a pub crawl company called drunken monkey... she walked us to the pub convincing us to participate in her pub crawl..
We got their and there was free drinks until like 11 or something.. We had about an hour.. We ran into the guys from our hostel and started dong shots.. this is where we should have realised the night would only turn out one way messy... we played drinking games where you can't say the words MINE or TEN if you did you had to do ten pushups.. Sarah got done a fair bit and I got done a couple of times. We played another one called buffalo which I have prob already told you about where you have to drink in your left hand or else skull.. These games mixed with shot after shot after shot always means trouble.. Anyway we stumbled to the next pub were there for a little bit when a fight broke out around me and another girl.. Locals vs. Aussies.. How typical.. Anyway I think I have a slight fracture in my thumb as I was trying to protect my face as we were caught in a booth in the middle of it with no way out.. I grabbed the other girl and we hit under the table with the fight over the top of us.. anyway a local guy saw us down there and came to the rescue pushing people aside and scooping us out... 10 seconds later the table collapsed with a bunch of big guys wrestling on top of it.... if we were still under there I would hate to imagine what the outcome for us may have been.. Anyway after coughing up some blood having bruises on my ribs a bruised and swollen hand and a torn dress I called it a night, with Sarah following.. The moral of this story is that I had it right at the start when I didn't hang around with other Australians...!!!
Anyway in the morning nursing a bruised and battered body and a very sore hungover head we headed to the train station to get the train to Munich for Oktoberfest... let's just say the train ride was very touch and go.. Sick bags were nearly required and the idea of Oktoberfest was too much for me to bare..
