So I took a chill pill finally, talked to my mom, sat down and budgeted my money a little. Bought some tickets for IRELAND... I'm just going to go there, hang out with my roommates who will be there and the people I know who are living there, backpack, get around the countryside. I'm excited.
Family question - if anyone knows where Murphy's/McCann's are from, like towns/areas, let me know. I think it'd be really cool if I could go find them.
It will be like my journey to go find my roots. It's like a movie.
I've had a super easy week, since I missed Monday and some classes were cancelled - I have actually only gone to five classes this week, total. We did have a huge fiasco of an international business group presentation, though. The problem is that everyone in the class is a business major so this is easy stuff for them. My group has two girls who are fairly good in business, but then there is another girl who is Italian, so she sort of keeps missing the meetings because she doesn't know what we're saying when we schedule them/ever, really. Then there's me, who has never thought about business in my life and who literally shakes and goes blank when I have to give presentations in front of the class. I love the class, but the thing is that you stand up, give your presentation, and then stand there while the professor tells you everything you did wrong, from the content of your slides to the way you fidget to even how what you are wearing would be bad in a real business setting. So anyway, we did a completely horrific job and I forgot everything I was saying and so did everyone else and of course the group who went before us was perfect so we looked like total losers. It should be interesting to see if we continue to be the failures of the class all semester.
Speaking of failing, I'm going to go study. I have three midterms next week and literally have not opened the books for two of the classes yet this semester. School here just does NOT seem like a top priority. No one acts like it is so it's hard to sit down and do work. But actually, it's probably just because I'm lazy.
We've been going out at night and sitting on the steps in town like real Italians. It's fun. We keep on meeting people who are really...strange.
