Hi!
So it's finally the weekend...yess. I haven't written anything in a while, so here's to get you up to date.
Last weekend we went to this place called Cinque Terre. It was awesomeee. My camera has been kind of weird but here are some pictures:

My personal favorite, the one of me holding up the leaning tower with my head, is not in there, but I will be sure to post it if I can figure it out.
Haha so anyway we got on the train early, me and Brittany and my roommate Jess, and we took this train all the way to Pisa, in northern Italy. Pisa is cool for like...five minutes. The leaning tower is awesome, but other than that, the city actually was sort of creepy and pigeon-infested. We got lost in some kind of downtown weird area with a wall of pigeon perches and there was bird poop everywhere and it was sort of bizzare. But we finally found the tower and took the classic "holding up the tower" picture, which is a little bit harder than you'd think because you have to sort of scramble straight up onto this stone thing and balance and you are falling off and you have to pose in this awkward way while smiling four feet in the air. And the whole place is hilarious because there are Americans, British, tonssss of Japanese tourists all doing this stupid pose. We tried to be creative and did the "holding up the tower with my butt" pose and the "holding it up with my foot" one and the "leaning on it" one and the "headbutting it" one, then we tried to jump in front of it and just really messed it up. It was really funny though. Then we had McDonalds (ah! amazing...American) and went on our way to Cinque Terre.
Cinque Terre was gorgeous. It is basically five fishing villages on hills in northern Italy on the Mediterranean. We hiked between some, which was REALLY HARD actually, and then went to this crazy hostel with a bunch of screaming high school kids and also what looked like a convention of elderly people. The high school kids were singing terrible songs in terrible voices, so we in the front of the bus overpowered them by singing Journey at the top of our lungs. We won, and they shut up, and everyone was happy, especially the bus driver.
The next day we went to the beach and hiked a short hike on "lover's lane," which was this cool pathway along the water lined with really pretty graffiti about love. It was really nice. Cinque Terre has this gorgeous blue water and plants and flowers and cliffs everywhere. It's great. The whole weekend was awesome. The whole trains thing was a little much, but it was worth it.
Anyway sorry this is sooo short, but I am going out for our friend Nina's birthday, and then I've got to go to bed. We're getting up at 5am tomorrow to go to Naples, Capri and Positano! Had my first Italian test today (eek) but I think I did really good.
That's about it. I'll write a real entry soon.
