Today we did a cheeky bit of shopping for the first time which was rather exciting!! I bought a new backpack (as my stuff is spilling over) and a couple of headscarfs as my fringe is not reacting well to the humidity! Late afternoon we met Sandy who is absolutely lovely, and she took us around the suburban areas of Sydney. We went to Bondi Beach and she took us to the club house where we had drinks and watched the surf. Today was cooler which was a relief, and so it was nice to have the sea air on our cheeks as we sipped some bubbly! Tonight we have had a fantastic meal with Sandy's husband Andy and her son Jamie, who knows loads about byron bay so we picked up the tips. I cannot get over their hospitality! Tomorrow we fly to Ballina at 9.50am and then take the bus up to byron, and plan on doing a surf course which will be excellent. Thank you so much for your messages Beth, Sandy and Christine, it is so lovely to hear from you all. i am so sorry to miss your visit... it is bizarre that i am on your side of the world whilst you are on mine. Any info on Malaysia will be very well recieved, I am a little bit in the dark about the whole area. I plan on doing Penang and some of the Eastern areas, what would you suggest? I will give your love to Rohan, Beth, and tell him all about Norway! I have set up my phone but it is not working til tomorrow so i will post the number then. Love you all and miss you xxxx
