We got an early bus to the Cameron highlands the next day.. We have never been on such a luxurious bus!! The seats were huge, we had Soo much space and it was air conditioned so we pretty much slept the whole 4 hours it took to get there! We got to the hostel and booked a recommended tour for the next day.
We were picked up early for the tour, the guide took us to see the Boh Tea Plantation,a trek through 'mossy forest', a trip to the tea factory- it was really interesting to see how it goes from the plantation to tea- Emily being a farmer absolutely loved it! We had the most amazing cup of tea at the end- the Palmers would have been impressed! We then ended at the strawberry and butterfly farm!
We got back in the afternoon so with another guy from the hostel we went on one of the recommended treks- it was an hour up and hour back down! We were huffing and puffing far too much to speak and were absolutely put to shame by a 70yr old man overtaking us! It was fun to do but we were extremely happy to finish!
We tried 'streamboat' for tea with two other people from the hostel- the waiter brings you a huge bowl of boiling hot soup, you then chuck in as many other things as you want and it cooks in the soup- there was a large range of things like chicken, beef, crab, squid- the only thing we didn't fancy trying was the jellyfish!
