So its monday today.... and what a weekend we have had! me laura... jasmine ,.. annie and nataile took a safari trip! and what a safari trip it ended up to be!!

We travelled 6 hours across open (massai) africa to the Norongorro crater! a massive crater sat high up in the hills of Tanzania... with open plains covered by wild animals! we took a small game drive here on the first day which was the friday... but we were heading another 3 hours west towards the plains of the Serengeti national park!

When we arrived... the roof came down on the 4x4 and our hair was blowing in the wind whilst we drove 80mph across the plains of africa!!

We headed for the camp site for the evening.... had a lovely dinner. spag bol out in the grasslands of africa! plus 3 bottles of wine! obviously i drank the most... went to bed and was dying for the loo at about 1am! got told... dont go out of your tent at night to the toilets its not safe... and if you need the toilet pee near the tent! haha never thought this would happen to me! the minute i need the toilet is the minute you hear a pride of lions in your campsite!! i was contimplating on whether to exit the tent and go to the loo! but when they got closer i thought what a stupid idea that would be! ended up holding it until sunrise! and plus i got smoothered in Ants aswell! lovely! they were nipping at me all over even at my boobs! found one that evening buried in my knickers! poor thing!

we had a 6am game drive across the plains of the serengeti with the sun quickly rising over the horizon! what a spectacular sight that was! amazing! words cannot describe it! we saw the big five throughout the whole wkend... and jst as we were giving up hope of seein lions on our first day... a full pride of 14 walked down the road next to our jeep!

that evening was spent travelling back to the crater to set up camp for that evening! nestled on the hills overlooking the crater... with the stars sparking so closely in the night sky i coudltn of picked a more beautiful spot! it was freezing that night! it was expected tho! pigs we had this night burying themselves around our tents!! they were making such a huge racket but apparently these pigs aint small!! i was definatley not gettin out my tent again!!

we descended into the crater at 6am that morning for our cold game drive! the clouds dont lift until dinnertime! the best of this game drive was the rhino at the end!! all cars came from everywhere to jst look at this magnicficant black rhino!

the safari came to an end with wine being drunk on the way home and falling asleep on each other begging for a warm shower!!

it was truly amazing... and i can now say ive been on an african safari!!
