On arrival in Goa we headed to Anjuna, unfortunately we hadn't beaten the monsoon, it was absolutely tipping it down! Vic and Sal chose to ignore the heavy rain and went in the sea! That night we went out for drinks with 3 English girls which was great fun. Found there was little to do in Anjuna plus there was a funny atmosphere (since the English girl was murdered) so we got up the next morning and decided to move on to Colva. Before we did we met Nathan, a really friendly Aussie guy, who we planned to meet in Mumbai on our last night. Had a good telling off by the old man who ran our hostel, felt like little kids! Apparently we'd checked out 15 minutes too late to get our money back!
Got 3 buses to Colva...still raining! Spent time pottering around the stalls and eating lots of food! There's little to do in places like this when the weather is so bad. It's not like rain at home, it literally chucks it down!
Went out for a meal in the evening; garlic king prawns that were amazing! Had a few drinks and got chatting to an Irish couple...and unfortunately a rather annoying Canadian (Rich you'll understand this!). When we told him we'd really enjoyed our king prawns he told us we were lying and hadn't eaten in the restaurant at all! He then went on to inform us that British people are tight and rude and he gets offended when Indian people think he is 'one of us'! Very funny evening.
