So since the last time i wrote the blog you can see from my pics that we´ve been up Corcovada - very impressive and very bloody hot up there!!! The view up there is amazing but you get jostled constantly by the other hundred people up there while trying to take pics.

We also have been to a footie match at the Maracana, which was just awesome. We saw Fluminense (the Rio home team) Vs Ateltico PR. The atmosphere i just cant explain, we were sat/stood in the home end with all the diehard fans with there enormous flags, their flares, their painted faces and the band. The chants and songs were kept up all through out the match and went into overdrive after the 2 goals that Fluminense scored.

Even though the stadium (that can hold 100,000 sitting) only had an attendance of 16,000 when we were there the atmosphere was electric i cant even start to imagine what its like when its full!

Other than those 2 excursions we have been lazying about on the beach -mainly Botafogo beach, but yesterday we did go for a change of scenery and went to Copacobana. Its been really hot here and so we´ve been trying to take advantage before we leave but theres quite a wind too and which isnt good on a beach as you know the sand just sticks to suncream - nice!!NOT!

Tomorrow we are booked on a tour of a Favela which should be good, so in the next blog you´ll hear about that but other than that we´re just being slobs here by not doing anything other than chilling, playing scrabble and eating (especially eating!!). So sorry if the blogs have been a bit boring I think they´ll def liven up once we get to Peru!!
