So since my last entry we´ve changed hostel here in Rio a couple more times and are now in one of the cheapest ones but where we have a TV in our twin room and it seems pretty OK and is right on the front drag of Botafogo (area in Rio we´re in).

So far we´ve not really done much since we´ve been here except Friday we went up the cablecar to the top of Sugar loaf hill which gave a great view although it was a bit hazy due to the heat.

On Sunday we took the Bus to Ipánema and went to the market which was OK and we bought a couple of souvenirs but it wasnt that great for tourists, as there was a lot of homey stuff and massive paintings and stuff, but was good to mooch round. We got totally lost on the bus getting back and went a really weird way but 2 buses later we got back.

The last couple of days have been lovely and warm so we´ve been to Copacobana beach on the metro, the beach there was quite busy and there were some great waves although we didnt go in the sea as it seemed quite dirty and we´ve been told the current can be really strong.

Today and yesterday we´ve just sat on Botafogo beach which is really quiet although they´ve been putting a big stage up on the beach as i think theres church related event on it tonight?!

Well thats about all we´ve done really we´ve been very boring lazy sods, we´ve still got to go up to Corcovada (Christ the redeemer) , and poss to the footie stadium before we leave.
