We made it! Didn't get too much sleep on the flight over. I think I finely found "remotely comfortable" about 2 hours before we had to wake up for breakfast. Then, through passport control, got all the luggage, and Beatriz and Pepe from Interway travel met us and got us to the hotel. The hotel is REALLY nice. It's a little suite type place, so although Jeanne and I have to share a queen size-ish bed, the shower is amazing, we have a little table and kitchenette type area. Seems to be a nice quiet neighborhood, too. So,after showers and changing, we set out in search of ATMs and lunch. We found both, and then had our tour of the royal palace. Fortunately they gave us a free guide, and she was a really nice woman. The kids really enjoyed it. Now we are back at the hotel because more then one of us nearly fell sleep while standing hip. So, a couple hours of rest and then we he'd back to the Puerta del Sol/Plaza Mayor area to do some walking , shopping and then dinner is at 9 - quite early for spain, actually!!
