Our flight from Dubai landed in Melbourne on time and we disembarked, cleared immigration, collected bags and cleared customs easily before heading across to the domestic 'terminal' (oh this is so easy in Melbourne it makes me wonder why we leave the country from Canberra via Sydney with that bus transfer!).

Then into the Qantas lounge to while away a few hours before an on-time departure for the flight to Canberra.

A big thank you to Dayne for collecting us from the airport and for taking such great care of my home and puppies - my enjoyment of the trip and my time travelling with JJ was heightened knowing all was well under control at home in Weston. 

And also many thanks to to you all for your encouraging comments about my blog - keeping it going was sometimes a time and energy challenge but knowing that people near and very dear to me were reading / following my journey, kept me determined to publish each day. 

I am am already looking forward to my next trip - perhaps sooner than I thought a week ago.
