The journey to Cameron Highlands was a bumpy and windy one. The weather had caused a landslide so we had to detour making the journey a long one. On arrival the hotel seemed dirty and full of mosquitos so we went out for dinner and tried a traditional Chinese dish called the 'Steamboat' and dinner we had a few drinks to help us sleep! The following day when we were up early to start our jungle trek I regretted the jaeger bomb! It started with a journey in 4x4 and when we got to the jungle the heat was hard to bare. The 15km trek was to see a flower at the top which is meant to be the worlds largest flower which at its peak can be over 1 meter wide. After the exhausting trek to get there I wasn't impressed with the flower and couldn't wait to go back down! It was lucky we did though as the torrential rain hit soon after the trekking finished. We finished the day visiting a tea plantation, a strawberry farm and another butterfly farm.
