Finding out the day before out White Water Rafting trip that a fatal accident had occurred there just four days earlier and with the same company was not the most settling of thoughts. And being confronted with a 2 page 'legal' document to sign on the day of the trip making sure in the event of any accident or death we don't sue, did not serve to ease our concern. We got on with it any way listened to all the safety instructions and measures like life jackets and helmets, how to float down stream in the event of falling out of the raft and the signals for help and ok and then arrived at the site ready to go. We were still quite concerned so spoke to our guide who assured us that the raft would not be purposely tipped, as we had heard, if we did not want it to be. Luckily Reese turned out to be the instructor in our boat so we felt a little easier. We got soaked of course and almost tipped out a few times which was quite scary but we clung on for deer life and thankfully, other than sun burnt kneed and a few bruises, we returned as we had arrived!

Oh and I almost forgot to tell you about mine and Hayley's flip flops... I'd bough Hays this lovely pair of bright pink (mental, as dan calls them) flip flops, the same as mine, and for the rafting we were told we had to wear ones that done up around the ankle so they would not fall off and of course these were the only ones we both had so we had to look like mental twins for the day! How embarrassing, as they were not hard to notice!
