Hey!! So where was I last .. Byron bay last weekend. Since then we moved to Surfers paradise on Saturday for the backpackers Big Night out. Wasn't feeling the bus journey or the pub crawl given the massive hangover we all had from a night in Byron with our Bondi boys. But we caught up with the crew and got on it. Surfer's is a bit like America or some nasty 18-30 resort in Spain .. people tell me Malaga but since I never did that who actually knows. The only reason I grinned and beared the night out was a good old catch up with my seasonaire buddy Lars, great to see him and he is really well for anyone who cares. Following that we had a couple of lazy days and nights until Monday which was Jess' 23rd birthday. We spent the day at a theme park called Wet and Wild where we tried out most of the rides, screamed our lungs out and had an aussie bbq. For those that don't know Australia the capital of BBQs, it's not .. they do not use charcoal so instead it's more like a hot plate. That night we hit the 'strip' again and partied at a place called Sin City. The next day I took a bus further down the Gold Coast to see some of the nicer bits. From there on Wednesday we headed to Brisbane. People say it's not the greatest place, nothing to do and or see. I've got to say although in a way they're right I really liked it and especially where we stayed in the Westend. It had a way more studenty vibe and if you were living and working there for a while it'd be cool! We wandered the town, did some more planing and booking for our trip and enjoyed the man made beach - BIZZAR! We only spent one night there but the 4 of us girls went out for a nice dinner and bottle of red as a little treat. On Thursday we headed to NOOSA! This place is stunning, I'd been told by a good friend that I would love it but it is gorgeous. It's on the coast but in a way I can only describe as like the Broads it has little rivers and inlets, sandy banks and bushy areas. We wandered the first night we got there and hit the supermarket. The next day we walked to Main beach and spent the day topping up opur tans. Lastnight we had a few cheeky drinks and I popped out with Jess to experience Koola bar, otherwise known as KBs. Let's just say it was an experience and I left to trek home after about 20mins. Imagine a Working Mens Club, next to a mental asylum in the most inbred part of hickville going!! Lets not even get into Jess's nightmareness and checking out this morning.

So this afternoon we head to Rainbow beach. Tomorrow Na's doing a skydive and then we get briefed for our Fraser island self-drive trip .. no idea what to expect!
