Well from the moment I arrived I have LOVED every single minute….its funny how when you are travelling you meet people….and I am happy that I kept in touch with my friend I met in Boston last year, because as soon as I arrived in Seattle I was whisked (well not exactly whisked Im not an egg) off to see some of the sights I would not of been able to see otherwise….WOW Snoqualmie Falls was amazing…(see pics) and then we had tea by the waterfront….fish to be precise haha!
So first full day in Seattle and off I go to the Pike Place Market…yeh not 1 of my smartest ideas like…..on a sunday!!! Now let me paint a picture…think Greaty Market on speed….it was mental, not even messin there was fish being thrown about and people singing….hang on was this real?haha….What a place though…so much you can buy in this market and so cultural. After I escaped, I took a walk down to Mariners Landing and the waterfront…such a lovely day and great being able to walk along in the sun
Next day….up and out to the EMP Museum - this is a museum basically honouring music…WOW!!! If you like music I suggest you look it up online at least, all based on museum, now they have like little booths you can go in and play instruments…so as you can imagine I went in and I rocked my ass off!!…I thought I was Brian May on the Guitar, Freddie on the Mic and Eyeball paul on the decks (haha)…..anyways…I danced (literally) my way around the museum! And then I decided to be a proper tourist and go up the Space Needle….520feet up and able to see the whole of Seattle…FAB!!! My next stop today was the Olympic Sculpture Park…so just a park area by the waterfront with crazy and different sculptures…but as much as that was great the best thing was the views down the front, just watching the world go by and soaking it all up!!! Ending the day meeting up with my friends for a beer…..PERFECT DAY!
Mount Rainier tour was next (see separate blog)
Seattle has been amazing and I tell ya what I certainly have NOT been sleepless (ok I know terrible joke…but hey it fits so sue me) Ive done so much whilst I have been here and had the most fun ever!!! So lucky to have a friend that lives here….Seattle I think you stole a piece of my heart <3 Every day has been an adventure and Ive never wanted the days to end!
The people are SUPER friendly here…plus ya know another thing Ive noticed how laid back and chilled people are…everyones like "hey mannnnn" or "hey dudddeee" > try and imagine the accent I done this in……I mean people are like Mr Soft (member him…."oh mr sofffttttt") Everything seems to be embraced here…..different cultures, tattoos, lifestyle…..now dont get me wrong as much as I love all this, I dont know if peoples ways are to do with the fact thats just how Seattle-ites are or the fact the weed is legal in the state of Washington…haha.
Anyways I love Seattle, the place, the people and the general feeling I get!!!!
Seattle I shall miss you……thanks for the memories but Chicago needs me!
