Jem won't let me just write that so here I go, prepare yourself for some exciting stuff.......we decide to go on a road trip to Torfino (West Coast of Vancouver Island) It was stupendous and tremendous. The scenery was alright We went for a walk in Catherdral Grove where we reenacted Dirty dancing and Becky pretended to be a tree. Then we strayed the night in a beautiful log cabin but the owner smelt of weed and looked like she was going to eat us! Jem wants me to tell you that the view from our window was looking out to the inlet and a cute little dock , it was breathtaking...."anything else Jem?"....... it also had mountains in the background and in the summer Grey Whales swim right up to the back of the cabins. the pictures will explain the rest. The Beach out to the pacific ocean was called Long Beach and it was really long... funnily enough... it was over 10miles long.

The next day we got up and went for a walk to the beach on a slippery boardwalk through a rain forest, there were warnings of recent bear sightings, so we were pretty cautious. I had my cowboy boots on with no grip on and inevitably slipped up. The walk was worth it when we got to the beach because there were giant seaweeds that we played jump rope with.

We then drove to The Beckwith family where we spent the next week winding Carol up. We called her Caz, hid her water spray bottle that she kept aiming at me, one rang the house many many times, Beat her at Dominos and was generally obnoxious - She loved it!

We wondered the streets of Victoria in search of noodle box, a Thai food place. The search sent us around and around in circles, then when we finally found it we realised that there were actually two Noodle Boxes and we kept getting sent in the wrong direction. We also got our Ears pierced by a cool girl called Pam (well actually we forgot her name, so thats what we'll call her.. Mark use to work with a girl called Pam Riding, but when she answered the phone, she would use her last name first and say "Riding Pam") The Piercing gave me a headache for the next week.

While we were there it was their C.O visit so we went out on the ministry a lot, one of the territories we were given overlooked the Olympic mountains in America which were covered in snow and we went to a house where there were a family of deer which I chased after. The C.O also came for lunch one day, he'd been one for 45 years and so Jem asked his wife if she was bored of his talks yet and then proceeded to tell them about streakers at the assemblies - I think Caz regretted inviting us for lunch, especially after I tried to convince her that the food had poisoned us.

We spent a lot of time with Kat, we were even models for one of her photo shoots. She took us to Sydney Pier which was a perfect setting for a horror film. Actually while I remember It was really odd how they had statues sitting on the benches, what a waste of a seat.

We had such a great time in Victoria - Thank you to the Beckwith family for putting up with us and making us feel so welcome.
