Phuket Paradise
We have managed to avoid prostitute and Thai bride filled Patong beach and instead we have landed ourselves a VILLA in the lovely, peaceful Kata beach area. A VILLA- I'm still in shock! I have never stayed in one before and doubt I'll ever have the money to again! It's all thanks to Natalia's dads business partner who owns it and very generously let us stay here for 5 nights eek! The price of which would cover our whole stay in Asia if we had to pay!
Perks include a private pool, giant tv, washing machine and dryer, kitchen and the thickest memory foam mattresses you can imagine...not to forget hot showers and those mini's like you get in hotels (they always excite me)!
We decided to dedicate these days to detoxing, getting fit and saving money before I head home and Nut moves on to the insanely expensive Australia! Every day we have swam lengths and been for beach walks whilst making our own healthy breakfasts and lunches :). The town has yum food with free salad bars and then we have been chilling out and watching films in the evening!
I...thanks to the mucky water on Phi Phi and perhaps my picking...have an infected mosquito bite eurgh! At first I was naive and cleaned it and thought nothing more of it until Nut urged me to do something or risk losing my leg!! Oops! I'm now on gross looking antibiotics for 5 days or so and have stocked up on waterproof plasters. It means i can't drink which falls perfectly into out detox time but annoyingly direct sunlight is making me feel sick but what's all that- nothing compared to losing my leg as Nut keeps reminding me :)!!
Oo we also have a personal security guard that sits on a chair ALL day long protecting us and the villa! Crazy!! He's out of view else I'd think he just wanted to perve on 2 scantily clad ladies! They seem to walkie- talkie our whereabouts at all times- notifying the next guard along when we are on the move!
It's so far from the partying and cheap hostels of the previous islands and seems very quiet after being in a group for so long but is a lovely way to end my stay in Asia ( apart from 2 days still to do in smelly but fun Bangkok).
