The islands-Part two
Koh Tao

Im in heaven- I absolutely love this island, it's got to be my favourite place so far and some of the beaches are the most beautiful I have ever seen!
We are staying in a nice wooden bungalow by the beach with it's own little balcony and breakfast table. We met back up with Lauren- one of the canadians and her Liverpudlian friend Steph and the four of us went for an amazing BBQ dinner the first night, eating so much food cross-legged on cushions watching the sunset- it was perfect!
The next day we sunbathed for a good 6 hours and all bought lilos! That evening we ate at one of the movie restaurants and all cried at the film 'Dear John', we then bought some cheap booze and drank on the beach whilst listening to a neighbouring bars live acoustic band! I was wearing a skirt and whilst sat on the beach i felt something stone like on my leg, I grabbed it and threw it only to realise that a CRAB had been hiding up my skirt!!! You can imagine the jokes I got after that! I was so freaked out that I kept hopping up every 5 minutes for the rest of the night to check there weren't any more eek!! Also when we got back to our bungalow there was a gecko on the ceiling above our bed eurgh....Nut bravely captured it in a bucket and chucked it out!
The day after-Monday we checked out a different beach and also hiked up to a lovely viewpoint. The hike down was done by sliding on our bums, it was so slippy in flip-flops!
So now I'm up to last night. We went to a party a bar were putting on after being taught the drinking game-pyramid. We covered ourselves in UV paint and danced the night away dodging the talented but scary fire artists/dancers!
Today Lauren and I went on a snorkelling trip and I absolutely loved it! At first I got all panicky about putting the equipment on but by the 2nd stop that the boat made I'd got over it. We saw some amazing fish- so bright and colourful and beautiful coral...i didn't want the day to end. As for Lauren she was really seasick for the first half but made a full recovery in the afternoon. Our last stop was a small couple of islands off Koh Tao which have a strip of sandy beach between the two. I can honestly say that it was the most beautiful place I have ever been to and I think we'll be hiring snorkels again tomorrow :).
Ps .... Nuts just reported that we have a huuuuge lizard lounging in our bathroom next to the shower! Wow.... Our room has so much wildlife!
