Around the World Forever
Finally... a long overdue update. I can't post photos though ... some jackass stole my camera in Buenos Aires and I'm waiting for the replacement to arrive from the US. I bought the exact same model I had before on E-Bay...they're getting quite cheap, which is nice!
So I left Buenos Aires a while back to come to Montevideo, Uruguay...a country I think nobody knows anything about. If you imagine Uruguay to be a poor, dirty, run down, backwards kind of place, you'd be 100% wrong. I am amazed how modern and civilized this place is. And THEY claim they have even better steak here than in Argentina...I haven't decided yet. I came here with the promise that I could work at a new hostel that just opened in Montevideo, the capital city. I'm supposed to be the bartender but the hostel is so new, they haven't gotten around to purchasing anything to make drinks with yet. And since not many people know about the hostel, we don't have many guests. So I find myself going to the bus terminal to find backpackers as they arrive and convince them to stay at our place. I tell the non-english speaking staff I am "la cazador de los gringos" ..the gringo hunter.. and they think that's hilarious since this past week I only seemed to be sending cute Swedish, Canadian, and American girls to the hostel. Hmmm? One of these days I'll get to take pictures again and have something to show of this cool city...
Cool, I can take photos again! Here's the hostel I work at and a quick look inside...
