Around the World Forever
Oop´s, while crossing the border a few days ago, I went through immigration, or so I thought. I got my passport stamped but later learned from other travelers that that was the Belize exit stamp. So I had no entry stamp for Guatemala and I am an illegal alien. Apparently, there was a small shack I was supposed to stop at for the stamp but the Guatemala side of the crossing is so disorganized and care free, I walked right past it. I went to the immigration office at the local airport and was told I need to go all the way back to the border I crossed at. Ahh, but there is no problem in Guatemala that can´t be solved with a little bribery and a few dollars later I had my stamp and saved myself a full day of travel to go back and forth.
I am not having luck with computers to get more pictures posted to this sight so be patient, they¨ll get there eventually.
Left today with Chris and Kate from Australia to go to a finca(plantation) just south of Poptun. It is a big backpacker hangout and kind of a vacation resort for wealthier Guatemalans.
