We're back in Brisbane now, getting ready to leave 'straya, after a lovely trip to Fraser Island. We arrived at River Heads on Monday, where we left the car and caught the Kingfisher Bay barge across to the island. Just before, we went in a couple of shops to stock up on Pot Noodles (seriously! One night in Hervey Bay, before we go to Fraser Island. We're staying at Peppa Pig Resort (not really, it's Pepper Pier, but everytime I say it, it comes out as peppa pig!), another lovely room, with a big balcony overlooking the sea, gorgeous! Beautiful sunset last night, which we enjoyed from the pier, it was a bit windy, hence Sal's wild hair in the photo.

So, we drove from O'Reilly's to Noosa, stopping for pies along the way at Cunungra (fab pies!). When we arrived at the resort complex, we actually drove through and out again, we both said 'this can't be the place!', it looked so quiet, characterless and sterile. Up early for a bird-spotting walk through the rain-forest! We turned up with our long trousers on, sturdy shoes, and anoraks, we felt a bit overdressed, 'cos everyone else wore shorts and flip-flops! You could see them thinking 'who do they think they are, Ray Mears?'
