All aboard The Ghan! For the first time on this trip we 'join the herd', most other passengers checking in seem to be on organized package tours, to be herded around like sheep (sorry, Lamby, no offense meant!). Still, really looking forward to this experience!

A lovely couple of days, yesterday a trip into Adelaide to visit the fantastic market, bought a load of lovely food, including a couple of enormous steaks! Spent the rest of the day chilling on the beach. Went to Outback Jack's for tea, hmm, ok, but not all that! Today, another trip into Adelaide, this time to visit the Immigration Museum, which was fantastic! Lunch at the foodcourt in the mall, then back to Glenelg, and our new, huge apartment, for swimming, c...

Arrived safe and sound in Adelaide, after our longest 'roadie' yet! Stopped at the Big Lobster on the way, for a picture ( bit dull really, but better than the Giant Koala ), had a kangaroo pastie for lunch in Meningies, and arrived in Glenelg ( beach resort in Adelaide ) as the Australia Day celebrations were in full swing, party time!

Pleasant drive from Halls Gap to Coonawara, we stopped off at the Giant Koala, which sadly was closed due to flooding, and one of his toe's had been washed away! Arrived at Coonawara, and after an enjoyable wine-tasting session, had a lovely meal at the hotel. Tomorrow we're visiting the Big Lobster at Kingston, hope it's not been washed away!

We HAD planned a 30km walk into the Grampians today, but the floods have put paid to that, so we settled for a stroll by Lake Bellfield, followed by barramundi and chips for lunch at the Aboriginal Culture Centre. We rounded the day off with sunbathing and a swim at Halls Gap Village Pool, nice! Already getting excited, for tomorrow we plan to visit the Giant Koala!
