So, we drove from O'Reilly's to Noosa, stopping for pies along the way at Cunungra (fab pies!). When we arrived at the resort complex, we actually drove through and out again, we both said 'this can't be the place!', it looked so quiet, characterless and sterile. We WERE in the right place, however, and when we checked in, they upgraded us to a 2 bedroom apartment because Sal asked if there was a washing-machine available! The apartment is probably the flashest one we've ever stayed in.
The place IS really quiet, mainly because it's Aussie low-season, but also due to cancellations after the floods, and it feels a bit weird, like 'Westworld' or 'Jurassic Park', but we're taking advantage of having the pool and the breakfast buffet virtually to ourselves!
Sal has washed loads of clothes, we've found some cheap books in a charity shop (why are books so ridiculously expensive in Aussie?), we got a parking ticket (to be rescinded, 'cos I whinged to Noosa Council), and went on a fab boat trip up the river and the Everglades!
We've had a great time in Noosa, just a few days left in Aussie now, and we'll be very sad to leave!
