Back to Toronto today, but first we stopped off at the scene of Lamby's 'accident', and managed to find enough chunks to glue him back together. He's back, Lamby fans! Battered, bruised, and bits missing, but he's BACK!
Terrible weather this morning, and having been lucky enough to see the falls while the weather was good yesterday, there was no point in hanging around as the town of Niagara is monumentally grim, a lesson in how to spoil a beautiful place by letting people build pretty much what and where they like. We briefly stopped at the Whitewater Walk, on the Niagara River, where you get to see the rapids close-up, which are impressive, and no, I didn't drop Lamby in!
We drove back to Toronto via Niagara-On-The-Lake, which was much prettier than Niagara itself, but just as wet! Found a Timmy Horton's and enjoyed their new 'toasted turkey chipotle on cheese bagel', mmmmm!
Eventually got back to town, and decided to eat in, as our lovely room had a mini-kitchen. We stocked up at the Metro supermarket, and got some microwave popcorn, to test the 'popcorn' setting on the microwave in our room (it worked REALLY well), and had a jolly night in, eating chicken, salad, and popcorn (not all at once, obviously!).
