It's been a funny old day! We managed to eventually pick our hire car up this morning for the trip to Niagara, despite the car-rental place being cunningly hidden in an underground shopping mall. In the food court. 'Between Burger King and Timmy Horton's, you can't miss us!'
After a pleasant drive, we arrived at Niagara Falls, and went straight to the Helicopter place for a flight over the Falls. They weren't busy, 'I'll just page your helicopter, you'll be in the air in five minutes!', cool! The flight was short, but really worth doing, especially as 'The Maid of the Mist' boat wasn't running, due to thick ice on the river. Yes, I believe the weather IS nice, back in the UK, thanks!
We found our way to Souvenir City, where the sheer amount of tat on sale sent Sally-Anne into raptures, there were more fridge-magnets than you could shake a stick at!
Souvenir City was the site of Lamby's unfortunate accident, more of which later, but rest assured, he'll be back!
Our hotel wasn't bad at Niagara, we had a falls-view room, and to sit drinking coffee and eating doughnuts, looking at the Falls, sat in my undies, was frankly exhilarating!
