We were due to fly to Hong Kong late on, so we spent the day relaxing by the pool. We'd already spotted that there weren't enough sun-beds for everyone, and there was one particular day-bed that Sal had her eye on. It was in prime position, right by the pool, enough in the sun for her, enough shade for me, with an electric fan placed nice and handy. It seemed unlikely that we'd get it, 'cos there were Germans around, and everyone knows what they're like! But, Sal grabbed it straight after breakfast, and didn't give it up until the taxi was waiting outside to take us to the airport!
I decided to pop out and do a bit of last-minute t-shirt shopping, they didn't have the one I wanted in the shop 'round the corner, but the bloke said they had it in their other shop, about 10 minutes walk. He described where it was, but I couldn't understand, so he got me some transport 'only one dollah', I thought 'tuk-tuk', erm, no, the back of a moped! How would I explain it to Sal if I fell off and ended up in the poly-clinic? I held on for dear life as he weaved through the traffic, and we made it to the shop in one piece. I got my t-shirt and decided to walk back to the hotel!
We had lunch, brought to our day-bed, very decadent, then showered and got ready to leave. We were both sad to be leaving Cambodia, and a little unsettled, as we still didn't know if we were going to Japan or not, but definitely looking forward to HK..
