We made it safe and sound (and tired!) to California.

Barely a day into this trip and already my husband has become someone I hardly recognize: someone who bounces out of bed singing at 6 in the morning and wants ice cream for lunch. I'm usually the ice cream fanatic and he's never been a morning person...turns out he's just not a work person, haha.

Yesterday we spent the day at grandma's seeing all the family, inlcuding little Caitlynn who is just a bundle of energy. She's also a little tease! She flirted with me all day, batting her pretty eyes and smiling her mischievious smile, but only letting me get my hands on her a few times. Still, is was so worth it!

I also got drafted, a little unwillingly, into a game of pool volleyball, Johnsons versus Brummells. I'm proud to announce that the Brummells were victorious, winning 3 games out of a 5 game series!

All in all, it's been a great start to our trip. We're looking forward to all the surprises and wonders in store for us (personality and otherwise)!
