I want to introduce myself with Jay. The Aussies abbreviate every name. So my stepfamily just gave me this name. :)
It's my fourth day and I wanted to give you mates some new things to read.
I like this place and the city. Especially my new stepparents. Jen and Brad took me from the street when I passed their house. It was a rainy day and the temperature was at 16 degree. One of the coldest winter days since 10years. Without them I would sleep on the street now. Thx guys ^^
They showed me a lot of things here and helped me whenever they could. I tried here already Vegemite a australian maggie which is used as spread and milo a cocoa with malt. Another special Aussie food is Tim Tam. It's a small rectangle biscuit. You bite two opposites end off and use the Tim Tam as a straw. As soon as you taste the milk, cocoa or coffee etc. you put it in your mouth and enjoy the softness and sweet taste of the biscuit. Quiet good :) pics will follow.
I'm lucky that Brads two week vacation just started this week. So he could show me the skyline of Brisbane (pics) and the city centre. He took me yesterday to the semifinals of his indoor cricket team 'hacker' which lost - no joke - with the last hit. It was such a pity. Before the game started he let me throw and hit some balls. It made really fun to make new experience and I liked the sport because you don't need to be very sportive (good for Simon^^) but more skillful.
Since yesterday I have also a bank account here at the commonwealth bank. If you wanna support me at my trip with some money I'll give you my no. ^^ or if you're bored give me a call or send me some messages to +61 458 431 733. ;)
Today it's also a big day for every Aussie because it's playing Sydney vs. Brisbane in rugby. Two enemies, blue vs red and it's war between them like Schalke and Dortmund. We'll watch the game at Jens friends home. I'm already excited about the game. The last five games the blue team( Sydney ) lost so there is a lot of pressure on them. It'll be such a hard game with a lot of knock outs I hope^^ I'll tell you about it later how it was. :)
Oh and btw Jen and Brad aren't my stepparents. Jen is only a friend of my Sis but I guess you knew it already. :)
