So I´ve moved!!!! I´m in the mystical north east of Argentina, which is beautiful. Andes, covered in jungles and also desserts, incan ruins, salt plains, colonial towns, llamas, ponchos etc... I´ve heard lots about it, and it is beautiful. I´m in a city called Salta, which is set in a valley, surrounded by green/jungled Andes and has a very colnial/spanishy feel (think Zorro movies)...I´ve not really done much here to be honest, as only arrived yesterday and spent the day exploring the town today. For the first time I feel as though I´m South America, and not Europe (Argie feels very European...Mendoza is anywhere in Spain or Italy, Patagonia was Switzerland, or Scotland, and Buenos Aires was Paris or London...and the people are very european looking as well). But up here it feels very indiginous, lots of incan influence. Can´t wait to explore more. Today, so far have taken a cable car up to a jungly peak to view over the city and went to an Incan museum and saw real incan mummies and frozen bodies from over 500 years ago, which was pretty interesting, for a museum! Lats night, we had a bit of a heavy one in the hostel! Asados (bbq meat, again!!) and again followed by traditional musical performance and dancing which was really good. Everyone had a good time, met lots of people from all over the place. Just too much quilmes!!!
Looking forward to exploring the north east of Argie a bit more, thinking about spending new years up here. I´ve heard the parties in the hostels are very good!
