Just a brief entry (if I can manage that) we are flying to Hanoi tomorrow, so once we have been there a while will update again. We have ended out stay here with a mammoth bike ride today – well it wasn’t supposed to be mammoth however we got lost!!! Anyway we went in search of Henry Moauts grave who was a French explorer who founded Ankor Watt (which we are going to visit in Cambodia). He died here in Luang at the age of 35 in the 1800’s and his grave was only discovered in 1990 – so there’s some history for you – don’t say we aren’t educating you whilst we are away. Anyway it was worth it even if I did moan for most of the uphill parts which were nearly all of it and we did have bikes with no gears!! Thanks for your messages and email, Shirl, Lisa you are both clearly crazy but you do make us laugh.
