A lovely evening but as we went to bed last night, a thunderstorm started and it began raining. Up at 2:45 this morning for a get away at 3:25. It is drizzling with lightning away to our south east lighting up the sky.

Diane, John, Peter and I are bound for Alderney. It is 5:30 and still drizzling with a light wind so we are motor sailing to make sure we get out of the Solent before the tide changes against us.
